I know my family; we do brunch. This was a roast ham and poached cod for the not-so-vegetarian. There is now ample time to take a walk along the River Ouse in day light. Parma ham to start, sprouts and chestnuts, roast potatoes crisper in goose fat and a fruit salad. Unfortunately the nasty cold I have has spread, so two of us are feeling bunged up, in my case a scratchy cough that is hard to stop once I get going. Perhaps a few chapters of Steve Jobs before Dr Who will do.
