Five-Year Diary: Friday 12 March 1976

Looked for my gym kit this morning and ended up using Darling’s gym shoes. I’m in Div. 11/1. There was quite a bit of goofing around in class, mostly from Smith and Steven.

We had double gym. We did ropes, wrestling, handstands and other gym stuff. After that we played pirates, which is a sort of tag game, and you keep going until everyone’s out.

Then break.

In Geography we had to do prep on Calcutta.

Got a new Latin book as well. Over prep I wasn’t very good on the bench.

We had unison practice. The band was there but there wasn’t any music.

Grub after that.

Physics was on light, but Smith was away.

Then Geography again, more stuff on Calcutta, which was a bit of a drip.

In Maths I got 33 out of 45 for prep on percentages.

Supper.

I got four maps for forgetting to do bundles.

Preps in the evening. French was OK. Revised chemistry and did some practice chemistry in the library.

Read some of 2001.

More revision after that.
