What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?
Living by the sea from 2002-2007 I would often go for long walks along the shingle of Seaford Bay. Over the years I collected all kinds of oddities. The oddest ‘thing’ was Oggle.
I have him/her it still at least 18 years later – consigned to the shed as my wife finds it him/her creepy. There is something of a Mart Feldman with those eyes.
I’m thinking Oggle must be a toy dropped from the Newhaven to Dieppe Ferry, or from a cruise liner. She/it him looks like a mascot.
I assume Oggle is a fish, but he/it/she might be an aeroplane? One way or another Oggle is a survivor.
