What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?

I’ve have no desire to visit Mar-a-Lago. For me, it’s less about the place itself and more about what it represents. At the moment, I also wouldn’t choose to travel to the United States while Donald Trump is in power. I find his values and conduct deeply at odds with my own, and that inevitably colours how I feel about visiting.

Travel, for me, is about curiosity, connection, and a sense of ease with the culture I’m stepping into. When that alignment isn’t there, the appeal fades. I’d rather spend my time in places where I feel more in tune with the social and political climate.

One response to “What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?”

  1. I could not agree more. The man is a gigantic ASS and that is being nice. The place is also hideous. MY wife and I live in Brazil now, her native country and she will not travel back to the US with me while he is president.
