Which is the best restaurant in your city?
I’m in Rouen at the moment — not my home town, but somewhere I’m very happily calling home for a few days.
We’re spoilt for wonderful places to eat here, but I’d particularly recommend Le Petit Bouqie, a family business run by Sophie Bouqie, who has 17 years’ experience as a chef.
It’s one of those places that gets everything right: lovely food, a warm, relaxed atmosphere, and a great location not far from the cathedral. Nothing overdone, nothing trying too hard — just very good cooking in a place you immediately feel comfortable.
With so much choice in Rouen, that’s saying something. Le Petit Bouqie is one of the best places we’ve found.
