The journey through the H800 discussion on use of metaphor to describe the learning process has been valuable, but at times, the reading has been the mental equivalent of carrying a machine-gun through the muddy and water-filled trenches of Passchendaele.

Sometimes I find writers do more to obscure what they mean, than say anything meaningful or original.
